10 Mar 2010 - Welcome to the Justin Sane website!

Hard to believe its almost Easter time already! JSE has been busy doing sound and lighting production for some great bands and artists including Bluejuice, Kevin Borich and Philadelphia Grand Jury.

After the dust settled from the New Year, Justin Sane Entertainment was busy once again providing one of the best Disco and DJ services on the coast, so if you are getting married, planning a party or need some entertainment for your guests then please click on the ‘contact us’ tab to email me your enquiry.

Party band ‘Crank’ has been busy revamping its entire setlist. The songs are more ‘party orientated’ than ever and the band is keen to spread their message of “fun and frivolity”! ‘Crank’ has been hailed as “the best party rock band on the mid north coast” - who am I to argue??. Upcoming gigs include the Riverside Tavern at Tele Point on March 12th and Crescent Head Country Club on March 27th. Check the newly updated Gig Guide for more dates!

Speaking of bands, - new acoustic duo ‘The Eugenes’ is going from strength to strength. With return bookings at Port Macquarie’s Mercure Hotel, and other venues including Wauchope and Bonny Hills the duo is being widely praised by audiences and venue managers alike. Not to mention happy guests at several private functions including weddings and corporate shows.

Five Englishmen in an Audi Quattro arrived at an Irish border checkpoint.
Paddy the officer stops them and tells them: "It is illegal to put 5 people in a Quattro, Quattro means four"

"Quattro is just the name of the automobile," the Englishman retorts disbelievingly.
"Look at the papers: this car is designed to carry five persons."

“You canna pull that one on me," replies Paddy in his thick Irish accent.
"Quattro means four. You have foive people in your car and you are derefore breaking de law.”

"You idiot!” replies the Englishmen angrily “…call your supervisor over, I want to speak to someone with more intelligence!"
"Sorry," says Paddy, "Murphy is busy with 2 blokes in a Fiat Uno!"

28 Apr 2009 - Hello! Welcome to the Justin Sane website!

As we move towards the Winter season things still appear to be very busy so we are officially thumbing our noses at the recession!!

We have received lots of enquiries for our DJ/Disco services for parties, weddings and other functions as well as enquiries for live bands, duos and PA equipment hire.

I spent 3 weeks in Japan playing Bass with the Hastings Koalas Orchestra from early April. This was a fantastic experience and the concerts went really well. My apologies to those people who I didn’t get back to promptly, - it’s hard running a business from another country! …wait a minute….make that “impossible”!!!

Anyway, - its good to be back, thank you to Jenny, Bruce & Robert who did a great job of looking after things whilst I was away.

Please click on 'contact us' to email me your enquiry or even just to say 'gday'!

19 Aug 2008 - Hello & Welcome to the Website!

Despite the Wintery weather band gigs have been going quite well with good crowds turning out at some local venues. To those venues and those crowds - “thank you” (…venues like the Laurieton Hotel, Beach Hotel at Bonny Hills, Tele Point Pub and the Fernhill Tavern...)

A shame to see some other ‘local venues’ giving limited support to local bands - …”just coz they’re from out of town doesn’t mean they’re any better guys!!!...”

A big ‘hats off’ to Scott Mesiti and the FOTSUN crew for putting together the first of many live band nights down at the Flynns Beach Surf Club recently. We were there providing the Audio & Lighting production and about 100 people enjoyed Shane Fritsch’s Band along with Mick Hart, and ‘Yanni & the Whores for Pinot’ (..gotta love that name…) These gigs are gonna grow into something big over Summer so stay tuned. I could comment some more here, about some local venues being too focused on POKER MACHINE PROFITS to realize that there are still people out there willing to support live music, - but I wont go there……

Updated gig guide and more Photo Galleries coming soon. PLUS another great Mid North Coast Venue re-inventing itself with live music after years in the wilderness!!!! …Stay tuned…

Regards
Andrew

12 Jul 2008 - Welcome once again!!!

Audio Production jobs have featured prominently for JSE in the last month. July 5th and 6th saw me behind the mixing desk for none other than Frankie J Holden and his wife Michelle Pettigrove. Frankie J did a great show at St. Paul’s MPC in Port Macquarie on the Saturday night. ‘Kenny & the Cohorts’ and ‘The Flamin’ Bullantz’ provided the backing to some 400+ people and the night was a great success. But it was the Sunday afternoon cabaret performance that really showed just how good they both are! Great singers, polished entertainers and genuinely nice people to work with!

July 9 saw me doing production again down on Port Macquarie’s Town Green for the NAIDOC event. The National Aboriginal & Islanders Day of Celebration was a great day despite the chilly breeze! Sydney based band ‘The Whitehouse’ took to the stage from Mid-Day and warmed the crowd with their funky blend of R&B and Hip/Hop Rock. Once again, - great band, nice guys to work with, - expect to see more of this band!

The Mid North Coast Bridal Expo will on again at Port Panthers, I’ll be there promoting our great Disco/DJ service for any intending couples. If you’re there make sure you say ‘Hi’!

Tuesday night Trivia at TG’s has been attracting big crowds despite the cold weather, if you haven’t been along to one yet then drag yourself off the couch and get down there! It’s a great fun night!

If you need info on a band, trivia night, a disco, or PA and lighting hire, you can email me just by clicking on the ‘contact us’, oh yeah… and check our ‘gig guide’ for more upcoming entertainment!

Cheers for now….
Andrew

10 Jun 2008 - Hello and Welcome to the Justin Sane website!

Well as usual, - a lot has been happening… The band ‘Crank’ has seen a line-up change with Mark Brown ‘stepping down’ from his duties on Bass due to other commitments. Mark and his slightly twisted sense of humour will be missed from ‘Crank’ but his timing was good with ex-Oz Inc and Thornapple bassist Trish Dwyer returning to this area after a stint in Qld. We’re lucky to have Trish on board so keep an eye out for ‘Crank’ and say g’day to her at our next gig (see pic)! Check the gig guide for some recently added dates.

In other news JSE has added some exciting new bands to its growing roster. Joining the likes of Dazed are the Middlerockers, Big Trouble and Psycho Magnet. It’s great to be able to offer these bands as live entertainment options alongside Crank and Oz Incorporated. Once again, -check the gig guide as I will be trying to include all dates for all bands booked via JSE.

Port Panthers recently played host to the ‘Smashclub’ event which saw over 500 people turn out to see some of the best DJ’s in the land “doin’ their thing”. JSE was there to provide the ‘doof’ and the 4400 watts of Dynacord PA did the job. Hopefully the success of this event will lead to more. Congrats to Scott Mesiti and his team from FOTSUN who did a great job of promoting the event.

In other news Frankie J. Holden will be performing in Port Macquarie on July 5th. This gig is a fundraiser being held at St. Paul’s MPC and with the Flamin’ Bullantz providing support it’s sure to be a great night! Contact the school for details on how to get your tickets - but be quick! I’ll be there doing the Audio and I must say I’m looking forward to that gig.

Don’t forget, Trivia, Tuesday nights – TG’s at Port Macquarie, come along and have a great fun night!

If you need info on a band, trivia night, a disco, or PA and lighting hire, you can email me just by clicking on the ‘contact us’.

Cheers for now….
