10 Jun 2008 - Hello and Welcome to the Justin Sane website!
Well as usual, - a lot has been happening… The band ‘Crank’ has seen a line-up change with Mark Brown ‘stepping down’ from his duties on Bass due to other commitments. Mark and his slightly twisted sense of humour will be missed from ‘Crank’ but his timing was good with ex-Oz Inc and Thornapple bassist Trish Dwyer returning to this area after a stint in Qld. We’re lucky to have Trish on board so keep an eye out for ‘Crank’ and say g’day to her at our next gig (see pic)! Check the gig guide for some recently added dates.
In other news JSE has added some exciting new bands to its growing roster. Joining the likes of Dazed are the Middlerockers, Big Trouble and Psycho Magnet. It’s great to be able to offer these bands as live entertainment options alongside Crank and Oz Incorporated. Once again, -check the gig guide as I will be trying to include all dates for all bands booked via JSE.
Port Panthers recently played host to the ‘Smashclub’ event which saw over 500 people turn out to see some of the best DJ’s in the land “doin’ their thing”. JSE was there to provide the ‘doof’ and the 4400 watts of Dynacord PA did the job. Hopefully the success of this event will lead to more. Congrats to Scott Mesiti and his team from FOTSUN who did a great job of promoting the event.
In other news Frankie J. Holden will be performing in Port Macquarie on July 5th. This gig is a fundraiser being held at St. Paul’s MPC and with the Flamin’ Bullantz providing support it’s sure to be a great night! Contact the school for details on how to get your tickets - but be quick! I’ll be there doing the Audio and I must say I’m looking forward to that gig.
Don’t forget, Trivia, Tuesday nights – TG’s at Port Macquarie, come along and have a great fun night!
If you need info on a band, trivia night, a disco, or PA and lighting hire, you can email me just by clicking on the ‘contact us’.
Cheers for now….

04 May 2008 - Welcome to the Justin Sane website!
Well, much has been happening since our last update, Jenny and I recently attended the wedding of Troy and Vanessa. Troy White used to play bass with ‘Crank’ but these days he’s strumming a guitar with ‘The Jesters’. So a big “CONGRATS” to Troy and Vanessa! (…see picture here and view more in the photo gallery)
It was a great night at the Blue Water Bar with local musicians and surfies well represented. Had a few drinks with Geoff Jones from ‘Wilbur’ ( ‘best man’ ), and Chris Munday from ‘Dazed’ to name a few. World surfing champion Mick Campbell was there and Jenny insisted on a photo (…sorry Mick!). DJ Pork Pie kept the music pumping with even the ‘non-dancers’ up on the floor, - I can only blame the bourbon!!!
In other news the Justin Sane DJ’s Troy and Josh have been busy looking after Weddings and private parties. They always do a great job so thanks guys! If you have a Wedding, Birthday or some other occasion coming up and need some entertainment just click on ‘contact us’ to send an email enquiry or you can phone directly. We have Bands, duos, DJ’s and other entertainers available for all sorts of occasions.
On that note; a big welcome to some other entertainers, rock bands ‘The Middlerockers’ ‘The Jesters’ and ‘Psycho Magnet’ can now be booked through Justin Sane Entertainment along with the Hastings Koalas String Quartet. I’m finally getting around to putting the respective bios up on the website so your entertainment options are even greater!
Take care all.
Be good to your Mother!
Regards
Andrew
Ps; finally got the photos up in the gallery from the Crank gig at Finnians a couple of weeks ago, - for those waiting on photos - sorry for the delay!!!

26 Mar 2008 - Hello and Welcome to the Justin Sane Website.
Last month I made mention of the ANZ Trivia night with proceeds going to the local Oncology unit at the hospital, - the night raised over $5000 which is a great result so thanks to Pam, Debbie and all the ANZ crew for making it happen, - a big thank you also goes to all the people who came along and supported the night!
In some not-so-happy news, the Thursday night Trivia at Tacking Point Tavern has been dropped, - a big ‘sorry’ to all the regular trivia players – I had very little notice of the news myself. “Thanks” to all those regulars who did support the night (you know who you are!). If you still need a weekly ‘trivia fix’ Tuesday nights at the Town Green Inn are still going strong – hope to see you there!
‘Crank’ will be returning to the Heritage Hotel at Gladstone on the 4th April and then 12th April at Finnians. Looking forward to those gigs, - come along if you can. Also click on the gig-guide for more entertainment, bands and venues.
Took a weekend off recently, - went down to Melbourne and saw Ozzy Osbourne in concert with a mate. It was an awesome show and I still cant believe Ozzy did some old Black Sabbath material….. very cool!!!
To young Emily, - I still have the picture you drew for me! I’ve put it up in my office! Thanks Emily!
That’s it from me for now….take care!

21 Feb 2008 - Hello all and welcome to the Justin Sane website….
The first thing I have to mention is the Trivia night happening Friday 22nd of Feb at the Westport Bowling Club. This event has been organised by the local branch of the ANZ bank as a fund-raiser, with all proceeds going to the Oncology unit at the local hospital. I understand that the night is a sell-out which is fantastic but for those who missed out on getting a table, donations can still be made at the Port Macquarie ANZ bank.
Disco’s are being heavily booked at the moment for Weddings, Birthday parties and Engagements, - if you have a function coming up and are thinking of booking a disco or a band I would urge you to ‘get in early’ to avoid disappointment. Click on ‘ contact us ‘ to send an enquiry.
The trivia nights at the Town Green Inn on Tuesdays and the Tacking Point Tavern on Thursdays are continuing to prove popular with lots of ‘regular’ teams participating. Great to see those familiar faces each week and thanks for your support! If you’ve never been along to one of our trivia nights I’d urge you to give it a go…. It’s a bit of fun and nobody takes it too seriously. Best part is, - it’s free to play and there are prizes. It’s a chance to win something for nothing so why not round up a crew and come along?!
Some more gigs coming up soon for the bands ‘Crank’ and ‘Oz Incorporated’, check the newly updated Gig-Guide for dates and venues. Hope to see you there!
Take care.

20 Jan 2008 - Welcome to the Justin Sane website!
With Australia Day approaching its hard to believe the first month of 2008 is almost done.
The big news at the moment is ‘Oz Incorporated’! The aussie rock tribute show is about to play its first gig in over 12 months! Yes, the cobwebs will be well and truly dusted off when the band plays at the Tacking Point Tavern on Australia Day. This will be a rare chance to see the band in a pub with zero admission charge as the Oz rock show will be playing almost exclusively in clubs after the Tacking Point gig.
In other news, Crank has more gigs coming up soon so please check out the newly updated gig guide. Justin Sane Entertainment can also accept bookings on behalf of several other bands, so if you need a band, a DJ, PA equipment or other entertainment needs, go to ‘contact us’ to send me an email or phone 04388 04588 during business hours. Several new bands will be listed in the near future as well as Jukebox and Karaoke hire services also available making us your ‘one-stop entertainment shop’ for the mid north coast area. But remember, - it pays to book ahead!
Don’t forget, Oz Incorporated - Tacking Point Tavern – Australia Day. See you there!
Regards

27 Dec 2007 - Hi and Welcome to the Justin Sane Website!
Well Christmas has come and gone in a flash and New Year is upon us! It’s hard to believe how quickly the year has gone.
Justin Sane Entertainment in conjunction with Port Music provided the Audio Production for Carols by Candlelight for Port Macquarie and Wauchope recently. A big thank you to all involved. The Wauchope Carols (held at Timbertown), were unfortunately washed out but we soldiered on and salvaged some of the show indoors in the ‘Maul and Wedge’ restaurant.
Apparently we don’t scare easily because a week later we were outside braving the elements yet again providing production for the ‘Shindig’ on Town Green. Thanks once again to all organisers especially Anais who did a great job. Lots of great bands on the day with ‘Sickboy’ finishing up a great night.
Crank will be playing the Lake Cathie Tavern Friday (28th dec) and then strap yourselves in for a big night New Years Eve when Crank play the Tacking Point Tavern. Hope to see lots of familiar faces partying the night away!
Hope everyone has a safe and happy New Year. Party hard but not too hard, and don’t drink and drive!
All the best
Andrew

15 Nov 2007 - Hello and welcome to the Justin Sane website!
As we move into the countdown towards Christmas there always seems to be plenty on. We’ve been busy providing Discos for weddings and Xmas parties. The band ‘Crank’ has been playing Xmas parties and Birthday parties, and Trivia nights are keeping lots of brains ticking over on Tuesday and Thursday nights!
Crank will be playing tonight at the Tele Point Pub and we’re looking forward to that gig. Looking ahead a little, - Crank will be playing New Years Eve at the Tacking Point Tavern, - no doubt there’ll be heaps of people there in the mood to party, so start planning…. we’d love to see you there!!!
As we all know this month is ‘Movember’ where guys grow the mo, all in aid of Prostate Cancer. Crank is doing its bit with Ben, Mark and myself all sporting dodgy lookin’ Mo’s (see pic), - so if you’d like to sponsor the band or make a donation, we can assure everyone the money will go where its intended. My mum is willing to pay me 10 bucks just to shave mine off but she says it must come off now! …I told her that’s not how it worked….
Anyway, - that’s all from me. Please note that I’ve finally updated the gig guide (apologies to those who have been looking in vain), so check it out, hope to see you soon at a trivia night, band gig or whatever, - make sure you say ‘G’day’!
Regards

05 Oct 2007 - Hello and welcome to the Justin Sane website!
A lot has been happening since our last newsletter, we supplied the PA for the Port Macquarie ‘Woodstock’ festival held at the Racecourse recently. About 600 people enjoyed lots of great local bands – past and present. A big “thank-you” to all the band members who were a pleasure to work with! Special thanks goes to Garry White who organised the whole ‘shebang’ – well done Whitey! The new PA system along with Mark Brown’s lighting system really does sound and look great (see pic), - so if anyone out there needs a rig …big or small…give us a call!
More PA jobs recently for Sydney band ‘How Bizarre’ at Port Panthers and Coffs Harbour Ex-Services. Then Lisa Hunt and band at the Smithtown Pub, thanks to young Scott for the roadie work!
We’ve been very busy also with Discos for weddings and parties. If you’re planning on getting married, - ‘please’ – book early!!! I can’t stress this enough. I only have 2 dates left available now for sept and oct 2008!
In other news, Trivia nights are going well at the Town Green Inn on Tuesday nights and I’ve just commenced Thursday night trivia at the Tacking Point Tavern! So choose a venue and a night and come along for a bit of fun! Trivia is free to play with prizes to be won.
‘Crank’ is playing a wedding this weekend, and next weekend we return to the Lake Cathie Tavern. Looking forward to a great night again out there! A lot of people have been asking me when ‘Crank’ will be playing in Port Macquarie again? …don’t have anything booked at the moment guys but I’ll get to work on that one! Hopefully we can have some good ‘in-town’ gigs lined up before X-mas. Did I mention Christmas? Sorry!....where has the year gone!!!!
That’s all from me for now. Take care and be good to your Mother!
Regards

With spring just around the corner people have been frantically making bookings for the DJ/Disco services for weddings and other functions; in addition I’m proud to announce that Rydges of Port Macquarie have included Justin Sane Entertainment as a preferred supplier. It’s great to have Rydges acknowledge that our level of service and professionalism is something they are willing to recommend to their clients! In response to the huge demand, I’m glad to welcome Troy Wilkie to the Justin Sane team! More big developments are currently underway, - stay tuned.

11 Jun 2007 - Hello again and welcome to the Website!
‘Crank’ played at the Tacking Point Tavern last Friday night, - it was good to see people dancing and having a good time! Birthday wishes were in order for the night for Steve Mason who was celebrating his 40th with friends (…how’d you pull up Steve??? ). Photos from that gig are will be up on the gallery soon - just overcoming a technical hitch - sorry for the delay.
For those who missed us, Crank will be back at Tacking Point Tavern again on Saturday the 23rd June, - lots of people have indicated they’ll be going along so its shaping up to be a big one! …and yes I’ve finally updated the gig guide! ..sorry to those who’ve been waiting.
This week I’m off to Nambucca RSL to provide PA Production for Glenn Shorrock, - should be great to hear Glenn’s latest semi-acoustic show and of course I’m looking forward to meeting the man who fronted legendary aussie act ‘Little River Band’!
Tuesday night Trivia now has a new venue, - it has relocated upstairs in TG’s. It’s a great venue for the Trivia which kicks off now at 7.30pm. Don’t forget the Town Green Inn are doing the $10 meal deal upstairs for trivia players which includes your first beer ( …how cheap is that…. !?!?!). This could be Port Macquarie’s best –kept secret but the word is starting to get out, - so come along for a great night!
That’s all for now, - take care and be good to your mother!
